The Moldovan regulator ANRCETI issued licences to 23 suppliers of electronic communications services in the first half of this year.
As a result, there were a total of 543 registered to provide such services as of the end of last month. As in most previous periods, the majority of those licenced in H1 have decided to operate terrestrial networks, with the most requested being audiovisual programme retransmission (10) and internet access (9).
Of the 543 registered suppliers, 402 are authorised to operate terrestrial networks with fixed access. A total of 219 can provided internet access and 215 audiovisual programme services.
ANRCETI says that the general authorisation procedure is free and licences are granted indefinitely.
