The Polish national commercial broadcaster Polsat plans to launch five more thematic channels.
Quoting Tomasz Matwiejczuk, the spokesman for Polsat, Wirtualne Media reports that it has already applied for licences and that more information will be provided once they are obtained.
The new channels will be Polsat Sport 2, Polsat Sport 3, Polsat Docu, Polsat Reality and Polsat X. They join a list of planned services that already include Polsat Film 2 and Polsat 1.
Polsat, which expecst to secure satellite licences for the five new services this autumn, already has 21 channels in its portfolio.
Of these, 15 are owned solely by the broadcaster and six operte as joint ventures with other companies.
