Recently appointed Ofcom chief Sharon White is to tell the Government Culture, Media and Sport Committee of her priorities for the regulator.
The session will take place on Tuesday July 21st. Typically, the committee will hold one-off oral evidence sessions with newly-appointed heads of public organisations that fall under the remit of the Department for Culture, Media & Sport.
White formally took up her position with Ofcom in March 2015. It has already become apparent that she will champion the consumer, initiating new rules for switching broadband providers.
Other issues on the agenda may include the performance of BT Openreach and the deployment of next generation telecommunications services.
