The Central and East European documentary channel DOQ has been re-launched in Romania and is being carried by UPC’s DTH platform Focus Sat.
According to Mediafax, the service, which is operated by Tematic Media Group (TMG), which is based in the Romanian city of Oradea but has an office in Bucharest.
TMG is one of the leading distributors in CEE, with a portfolio of over 50 channels offered in Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and Slovakia.
These include services from AMC Networks, Viacom and A+E Networks, as well as a number of proprietary channels including DOQ.
The latter is a 24-hour service and broadcasts in four languages (Romanian, Hungarian, Czech and English) and in both SD and HD.
Aside from Focus Sat, it is now also being offered by UPC DTH platforms in Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
