Com Hem has grown the number of TiVo boxes held by its customers by another 14,000, as the advanced set-top begins to have a positive effect on the Swedish cablenet’s churn.
In its second quarter results Com Hem brought in revenues of SEK 1,246 million, an increase of 4% year-on-year. This delivered a net result of SEK 42 million.
“Our operational focus has remained on improving customer satisfaction, while shifting our balance of growth from volume towards a combination of volume and price-led growth. During Q1 and Q2, we implemented price changes – primarily discount reductions – affecting approximately half of our customers,” said Anders Nilsson, CEO, Com Hem.
TiVo now has 204,000 customers – a penetration of 33%.
Total subscriber numbers grew by 6,000 to 894,000; broadband added 8,000 to 637,000 subscribers and digital TV another 2,000 to 657,000.
