Poland: bundled services facts and stats

Orange building with logoBundled services were used by over 4.2 million people and generated close to PLN2 billion (€476.8 million) in revenues in Poland in 2014.

In an annual report on the country’s telecom market, the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) says that there were in total 42 different package combinations, with fixed line internet and TV, the most popular, chosen by 30% of all bundled services users.

This was followed by fixed line telephony, fixed line internet and TV (18.8%), mobile telephony and mobile internet (15.2%), fixed line internet, TV and VoIP telephony (11.3%), fixed line telephony and fixed line internet (10.9%) and others (13.7%).

In terms of revenues, double play accounted for 66.4% of the total, followed by triple play (31.8%) and quadruple play (1.8%). ARPU from bundled services in 2014 stood at PLN41.02.

In subscriber terms, double play accounted for two-thirds of the total (66.7%), followed by triple play (31%), quadruple play (2%) and quintuple play (0.3%).

Orange was the leading provider of bundled services, accounting for 20.2% of all subscribers.

It was followed by the cable operators UPC Polska (19.5%), Inea (13.8%) and Vectra (10.5%), with Cyfrowy Polsat (2.7%) and Multimedia Polska (1.6%) among other leading providers.
