The Polish DTH platform nc+ will complete its transition to DVB-S2/MPEG-4 at the end of September.
At the same time, reports Wirtualne Media, it will switch off the SD versions of most of the channels it current distributes.
As almost all the platform’s subscribers already have HD receivers, the change will barely be noticeable.
However, the small minority with SD receivers can exchange them free of charge for HD ones.
Cyfrowy Polsat, Poland’s leading DTH platform operator, will also complete its switch to DVB-S2/MPEG-4 at the end of September.
Its SD receiver exchange programme began last year.
