Arqiva has named Samsung executive Simon Beresford-Wylie as its new CEO. It follows the departure earlier this month of John Cresswell.
Mike Parton, Chairman of Arqiva said of Simon’s appointment; “Simon brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise that will help to develop Arqiva’s strategy and his background fits perfectly with our lines of business. During my initial time at Arqiva it’s become clear that the business has a lot of opportunity and we’re on the cusp of some exciting developments. I’m looking forward to working with Simon to deliver these.”
Beresford-Wylie has been based in Seoul, Korea, where he acted as a special advisor, leading a review of the company’s Network Business. He was previously the CEO of At800, the telco-run organisation that has been mitigating interference from 4G services to broadcast reception. He was also the founding CEO of Nokia Siemens Networks.

Arqiva’s transmission business includes transmitter towers, IPTV delivery and a shareholding in YouView.
