Dr Hannes Ametsreiter has been designated to become the new CEO of Vodafone Deutschland from October 1, 2015.
The German telco’s supervisory board wants to decide about the appointment at its next meeting on June 30, 2015. In addition to his function as head of the German operations, Ametsreiter will also be elected into the global executive committee of parent company Vodafone Group.
The Austrian is currently CEO of Telekom Austria. Earlier this week, he announced his resignation effective July 31, 2015. At Vodafone Deutschland, he will succeed Jens Schulte-Bockum who decided to step down in May 2015.
