Despite being under new ownership, the Czech DTH platform Digi TV will retain its existing name.
Furthermore, reports Parabola, it now aims to become a leading player in the Czech market, competing with Skylink.
To this effect, it has already improved its offer through the additions of CT:D/CT Art, Prima Love, Prima Zoom, Telka and TV Smichov last month, with more channels set to follow.
Its line-up also includes the popular channels Digi Sport 1 and Digi Sport 2, the former in HD.
Digi TV was launched in the Czech Republic by Romania’s RCS&RDS in 2006 and sold earlier this year to the Czech company Lama Energy Group.
Its new owner is now likely to offer Digi TV as part of a bundle that includes mobile telephony and utility services.
