Netflix will arrive in Italy and Portugal in October 2015 bringing the total number of European countries to 12.
Netflix will be fully localised, offering Italian and Portuguese subtitles and dubbing.
At launch, the Netflix offering will include such original series as Marvel’s Daredevil, Sense8, Bloodline, Grace and Frankie, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Marco Polo. However, not all Netflix originals will be available, as some of the rights to its TV series have been sold to other broadcasters.
The announcement comes just two days after the news that the internet streaming company said it will launch in Spain.
The company ended March with 62 million subscribers worldwide, including 41 million customers in US, and is currently available in more than 50 countries.
