Cirkus, the on demand provider based around British television content, is launching in Iceland at the end of June.
It’s signed a deal with leading mobile and IPTV provider Vodafone Iceland. The company is currently developing its cross-platform video services under the Vodafone Play brand.
Mark Bradford, co-founder and director said: “This is another important step forward for Cirkus in the Nordic market and we’re delighted to partner with Vodafone to add Iceland to the growing number of countries that enjoy our service.”
Cirkus has long-term access to programming from the UK’s two largest broadcasters – ITV and the BBC as well as the UK’s largest independent production company – All3Media. It’s recently acquired the rights to the BBC’s Sunday night hit Poldark (pictured).
