The Czech government has approved a document that will decide the future of DTT services in the country.
The document, on spectrum management strategy, outlines the Czech Republic’s position ahead of WRC 2015 in Geneva later this year.
It will decide on the future of the second digital dividend, namely allocation of the 700 MHz band, currently used by DTT services, for mobile broadband services.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the second digital dividend is a contentious issue in the Czech Republic.
