Vubiquity and Endemol Shine International have signed a multi-country licensing deal for new original television content in territories across South East Europe, Israel, the Middle East and Africa.
This announcement follows Vubiquity’s recent partnership with Cellcom Israel, and marks the company’s continued expansion into EMEA.
The multi-territory deal means Vubiquity’s international SVOD service proposition will now contain new television dramas distributed by Endemol Shine International, such as Peaky Blinders and The Fall.
The full list of territories includes: UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Israel, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia as well as English-speaking countries in Africa. This content will be available to retail customers of Vubiquity’s partners from 1 June 2015.
Cathy Payne, CEO of Endemol Shine International, said: “ESI are thrilled to be working with VUBQUITY. Peaky Blinders and The Fall are critically acclaimed drama series’ that I am sure the Vubiquity audience will love.”
Adam Poulter, Managing Director for EMEA at Vubiquity, said: “We are delighted to have been able to sign this deal with ESI. It will make sure that their retail customers can watch latest-release programming such as award-winning crime series The Fall.
“Vubiquity is now making a name for itself as the ‘go-to’ content and video on demand partner in frontier and emerging markets.
