Devolo to showcase powerline solutions

May 31, 2015 09.03 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

Powerline manufacturer Devolo is set to showcase its range of products at ANGA COM 2015.

The company, based in Aachen, Germany, will unveil the findings of detailed field tests from more than 6,000 homes which demonstrate the ability of its technology to improve the delivery of broadband, television and telephone services to the home.

Under the slogan “Make your services whole-home-ready”, the company will demonstrate its dLAN Powerline product range at the exhibition, which takes place from the 9th to 11th June in Cologne, Germany.

devolo’s dLAN Powerline products boost the availability of internet access by using the existing household electrical circuit as a long network cable to transmit data throughout the house. Every plug socket can then be turned into a network access point with the help of an adapter, which can also be used to create new WiFi ‘hot spots’ throughout the home. With WiFi enabled mobile and smart devices, such as phones, tablets, TVs and laptops, playing an increasing role in modern life, this ensures consumers can take full advantage of new broadband services and operator products.

The dLAN Powerline product range, which has sold more than 25 million adapters, enables 95% of all power outlets in the home to achieve a payload data rate of 30 Mbps or more. This allows as many as three HD streams to be transmitted to a room simultaneously. These high transmission rates are also combined with secure encryption and easy installation.
