Stefan Susbauer has been appointed as the new head of corporate communications at Primacom, Germany’s fourth-largest cable operator.
After running his own public relations agency Susbauer PR and recently working on projects for automotive, architecture and design clients in China and South Africa, the 48 year old communications professional is returning to the cable industry, having previously been head of corporate communications at Unitymedia until its successful acquisition by Liberty Global in 2011.
In his new role, Susbauer is responsible for Primacom’s external and internal communications. He reports directly to CEO Joachim Grendel in Leipzig. “Stefan Susbauer is an experienced communications expert with extensive knowledge of the telecommunications and cable market,” said Grendel. “His broad sector expertise makes him an ideal addition to the Primacom team as we continue to execute our successful growth plan.”
Susbauer has worked in the media and telecommunications sector for many years. In addition to his executive position at Unitymedia, he has advised leading companies and institutions along the digital value chain such as TV broadcasters, software and middleware providers, hardware and consumer electronics manufacturers, cable operators and media policy associations.
