Polish viewers would like to see popular documentary channels like National Geographic made available online on an on demand basis.
According to the findings of the latest MEC VideoTrack survey, they placed National Geographic in first place, followed by Discovery Channel.
Other channels, of various genres and in descending order of preference, were HBO, Polsat, TVN, History and TVN Style.
Viewers also named HBO (58%) as the channel they would most be willing to pay for on a single basis, followed by Canal+ (32.9%) and National Geographic.
This, MEC points out, shows that there would be interest in HBO Now should it launch in Poland.
The survey also found Polsat’s ipla to be the most popular among internet users despite them also saying that the best programmes available online were from TVN, which operates the rival service Player.
