WISI gets busy with innovation

May 27, 2015 09.39 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

ANGA COM stalwart WISI is showing off several new product innovations for the installation and extension of TV distribution systems and CATV networks.

WISI has extended its flexible and very dense Compact Headend OH by the new quad transmodulator OH 84 with an integrated multiswitch (4×4) for simplified installation by daisy chaining. The new OH 84 offers high density signal processing capacity in a single blade. It transmodulates four DVB-S/S2 channels into four QAM TV channels.

The OH headend combines powerful technologies, compact dimensions, modularity, expansion capability, innovation and cost efficiency. It is best suited for use in small CATV networks, medium-sized residences, high-rise buildings, recreational facilities, hospitals and hotels.

It’s also introducing a new professional receiver. The new WISIBOX OH16 is the perfect tool for efficient and powerful satellite TV reception and distribution installations. WISIBOX 16 is a complete solution for transmodulation and offers the most powerful channel density in a single box in this price segment. It can receive 16 DVB-S/S2 transponders and transmodulate them into 16 QAM TV channels. The compact chassis has a very small footprint and a very small environmental impact through its low power consumption. It can be installed in rack cabinet or directly on the wall.
