The Czech incumbent O2 will launch a new sports channel on August 15.
According to Digizone, it will be known as O2 Sport and details about the service will be made available today (Tuesday, May 26) at a press conference in Prague.
It adds that at this stage it looks likely O2 Sport will only be made available to subscribers of O2TV and O2TV Go.
Furthermore, it will be headed up by Marek Kindernay, the former long-term director of Nova Sport, and include UEFA Champions League and ATP or WTA (not Grand Slam), along with the MS WRC rally, in its programming line-up.
O2 is the leading provider of IPTV services in the Czech Republic.
