A+E Networks UK has appointed Karl Burnett to VP, Human Resources.
Tom Davidson, Managing Director of A+E Networks UK, to whom Mr. Burnett will report, said: “A+E Networks UK is delighted to welcome Karl Burnett to help us build and shape our business during a period of intense growth across our brands and territories. Karl’s diverse experience managing growing teams will be invaluable as we continue to drive our growth strategy.”
Beginning July 2015, Mr. Burnett will be based in London, managing Human Resources across all of A+E Networks UK’s territories, including offices in Poland, Denmark and South Africa. The business currently employs over 160 staff.
“Karl’s experience and HR leadership will be a great asset to the teams at A+E Networks UK and EMEA,” added Dean Possenniskie, managing director, EMEA for A+E Networks.
Burnett joins A+E Networks from the BBC, where he held senior HR positions since 2010. He currently serves as HR Director for BBC News and Radio, and is a member of the BBC Senior Management Team, leading an international team of 50 HR professionals. He previously held roles at Nickelodeon UK and Channel 4 Television.
