The Slovenian incumbent Telekom Slovenije has been ordered to pay Tusmobil €1.71 million plus interest by the Ljubljana District Court.
According to Balkans.com, this follows a lawsuit filed by Tusmobil’s predecessor Tus Telekom in 2007 that accused the incumbent of abusing its dominant market position.
Tusmobil initially demanded €21.5 million plus interest but then increased its claim to €28.2 million due to further violations.
However, the court found that only a small part of the allegations were justified.
While Telekom Slovenije said it would study the ruling, which is not final, before deciding whether to appeal, Tusmobil’s new owners Telemach, Slovenia’s largest cable operator – declined to comment to the local media.
