Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland has rolled out its high-speed internet access service with a data rate of up to 200Mbps (download) and 12Mbps (upload) in 54 further towns.
Through the expansion, a total of 720,000 new households can use the service, for example in Bremen, Cuxhaven, Oldenburg, Osnabrück and Schwerin.
The 200Mbps service is currently available to around 2.5 million Kabel Deutschland households. The figure will rise to more than 7 million households by early 2016.
The highest data rate offered by the Vodafone subsidiary has previously been 100Mbps.
