PrimaCom, Germany’s fourth-largest cable operator, has taken over the cable network of Telekommunikation TV Service (TTVS) in Halle/Saale effective April 15, 2015.
With the acquisition of which financial details have not been disclosed, the company now serves – in addition to the around 36,000 households already covered in Halle – further 2,700 households with TV, internet and telephony.
PrimaCom aims to quickly integrate the TTVS infrastructure into its own network and will upgrade the cable network to the DOCSIS 3.0 standard. This will enable the customers to surf the net with a speed of up to 150Mbps.
PrimaCom affirmed in March 2015 that the company is looking for acquisition targets.
