KPN gained an additional 77,000 IPTV subscribers in the first quarter, while its broadband customer total grew by 35,000.
As of the end of March, the Dutch incumbent had a total of 2,130,000 million TV subscribers, up from 2,079,000 three months earlier.
Of these, 1,676,000 were IPTV – copper and FTTH (1,599,000) and 454,000 (480,000) other technologies. TV copper ARPU was €15, which was unchanged on the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, KPN’s triple-play base grew by 86,000 in the first quarter. This was equivalent to a 52% penetration figure of the broadband customer base, up from 46% three months earlier.
KPN’s adjusted revenues in Q1 amounted to €1,919 million, down 3.5% on the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDA was up 0.2% to €622 million, while net profit rose from €3 million in Q1 2014 to €15 million in the first quarter of 2015.
