An anomaly has occurred on conditioning equipment of the launcher during the final countdown operations for the launch of Telenor Satellite Broadcasting’s Thor 7 and Italian Sicral 2.
As a result, Arianespace has decided to bring back the launcher to the Final Assembly Building (BAF) at the launch site in French Guiana.
The launch vehicle and its satellite payloads have now been placed in stand-by mode and maintained in safe conditions.
In a statement, Arianespace says a new launch date will be announced later today (Friday, April 24).
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the launch of Telenor Satellite Broadcasting’s Thor 7 was initially postponed last week (April 14) after an issue at the launch pad.
