The Spanish regulator CNMC has fined Atresmedia €150,000 for broadcasting adverts without respecting the integrity of programmes in which they were placed.
Specifically, the sanction refers to commercials shown on the Neox and Nova channels in August 2014.
Atresmedia’s actions run counter to the General Law on Audiovisual Communication.
The broadcaster has the right to file an administrative appeal against the fine before the High Court within a period of two months.
