Vestel at TV Connect 2015

Vestel are exhibiting at TV Connect 2015, at the ExceL S1-S5, stand 24 to showcase the latest line of digital satellite, terrestrial, cable, IP and OTT set-top box solutions, Curved TV, Ultra HD TV, Smart TV, hotel TV, interactive flat panel display, digital signage, and video wall solutions.

Leading the European market in digital products, Vestel have established agreements with the major digital television operators in Europe for the production of digital television and set-top boxes.
Among the prodcts that Vestel will be showing are the following.

Vestel and Freesat UK Ltd have partnered to develop a HD DVB-S2 PVR featuring award winning TV Guide: Freetime. Freetime EPG system enables going 7 days backward in the EPG and watch missed programs. Freetime EPG simply helps to organize recordings, recommends programs from Live TV and VoD. Device can be paired with Freesat app in smartphone and tablet to set recordings & reminders remotely. Product is available with 500GB or 1TB integrated HDD options and Wi-Fi enabled.

A new multi-screen solution with NAS (Network Attached Storage) support. Multiple client IP devices can record & playback same content over network storage. A Gateway with multiple front-end inputs is providing live streaming to other clients such as client TV, STB, tablet or smartphone and providing full multiscreen experience in the home. Well known DRM technologies are supported in the system to secure premium content.

Vestel OTT series support the latest IP technologies to enable any business model on OTT platform. Adaptive Streaming and DRM technologies are featured with HTML5 browser support.
Fully functional SDK is provided to system integrators to port their applications on custom configured HW. Powerful CPU and memory options are configurable depending on the application requirements.

The new Vestel TV and STB products features Android TV solution from Google and supports one of the most advanced TV middleware systems. Products support 4K/UHD-HEVC Broadcasting and powered by the top performance SoCs. Solution is based on Android L release and available either as Pure IP/OTT or with DVB-S2/T2/C tuners in order to support Linear TV. CAS support is available based on request. Android widgets and applications are configurable based on operator requirements.
