Switzerland’s national telco Swisscom has commenced offering interactive services in multimedia standard HbbTV to the customers of its IPTV platform Swisscom TV.
HbbTV is available via Swisscom TV 2.0 on the HD channels of SRG SSR, ARD, ZDF, ORF1 and ORF2.
By pressing the red button on the remote control, viewers can access the HbbTV services which contain, for example, programme information, weather reports and sports results.
The HbbTV function will be activated for all 450,000 Swisscom TV 2.0 households by April 16, 2015.
