TV5Monde exclusively on Arabsat in MEA

April 13, 2015 22.45 Europe/London By Robert Briel

TV5Monde Style HD will be offered in the Middle East exclusively on Arabsat.

TV5Monde Style HD will be broadcast free-to-air across the Middle East and North Africa via the wide coverage of Arabsat BADR-6 with minimum dish size across MENA. In addition, TV5MONDE Style HD will also be available on My-HD; the low Pay-TV platform in the region, exclusively carried by Arabsat and which offers premium HD content tailored to the Middle Eastern viewers.

“Arabsat has been our long standing partner since we launched in 1998 the first TV5Monde channel to the Arab world, TV5Monde Maghreb-Orient. We are excited to further expand our partnership with Arabsat with this new thematic HD channel.”

“Arabsat provides best-in-class satellite platforms and cost efficient transmission solutions. We look forward to introducing Arab viewers to the best ‘art of living’ programming from TV5Monde productions and our French-speaking partners’ channels on one of Arab world leading TV satellitessaid Yves Bigot, CEO of TV5Monde.

“Indeed, this is another remarkable milestone of long history and successful cooperation between TV5Monde and Arabsat. We are thrilled to have onboard and exclusively the new attractive TV5Monde Style HD,” added Nabil Alshanti, Arabsat VP and CCO.

“This channel will help us reinforce our leadership of Free-to-Air HD video neighbourhood which will enable us to offer Arabsat viewers across the Middle East and North Africa an extensive offering of the best Free-To-Air international and regional HD channels on Arabsat hotspot at 26 degrees East .”
