German commercial TV broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 will continue to hold the exclusive free-to-air TV rights on the movies and series of Warner Bros. for the next years following the renewal of its rights agreement with the Hollywood studio.
The deal of which financial details have not been disclosed comprises movies like Batman vs. Superman, Tarzan and King Arthur. The trilogy Fantastic Beasts and where to find them based on J. K. Rowling’s book will also be screened by ProSiebenSat.1’s channels.
The agreement also covers German cinema productions such as Der geilste Tag with Matthias Schweighöfer and Florian David Fitz.
TV series and library titles from Warner Bros. are also part of the package including fantasy trilogy The Lord of the Rings, the Harry Potter franchise and the movies Hangover, Batman begins and The Dark Knight.
