German financial news channel DAF has closed down its DTH satellite distribution on Astra (19.2° East) on April 10, 2015.
The channel operated by Kulmbach-based media entrepreneur Bernd Förtsch (Börsenmedien AG) filed for insolvency in early March 2015, arguing that particularly the high cost of the satellite transmission lead to its financial difficulties.
Also, important advertising customers were lost due to the difficult environment, according to the channel.
DAF will now focus on its web-TV and TV production activities.
