Endemol Beyond launches MIPTV line-up

April 8, 2015 09.50 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Michelle Phan Credit_Stefanie Keenan PhotographyEndemol Shine Group, which brings together Endemol, Shine and Core Media have announced the launch of Endemol Beyond’s first ever MIPTV line-up.

The Premium Content Network (PCN) which currently has 500 million monthly views will be bringing a slate of digital formats and finished programming to the market. Highlights will cover a range of genres including entertainment, comedy, reality, lifestyle, education and gaming, all available at MIPTV for the first time.

Making its MIPTV debut is ICON, the global lifestyle channel creatively led by digital superstar Michelle Phan (pictured), ICON launched simultaneously in the US and UK with rollouts across Western Europe and Asia to follow in the summer and autumn.

Also heading to Cannes is Legends of Gaming, which originated in the UK and has begun its
international roll out having sold to Germany, Brazil, France and the US. The series features both up-and-coming and established YouTube stars as they battle it out in a nationwide tournament to find the ultimate gamer.

As well as being available as digital formats, which can be adapted locally in any market, ICON and
Legends of Gaming are also being distributed as finished programmes to broadcasters and digital
platforms around the world.

Among the highlights of Endemol Beyond’s finished programming slate is Simon’s Cat, which is the second largest animation channel in the world with over 600 million views and 3.4 million subscribers.

Also making its MIPTV debut is People Are Awesome, which pushes the boundaries of physical human endeavors and has amassed over 270 million views to date; and French internet sensation The Woop Gang, a comedy sketch show with over 115 million views.

“Our presence at MIPTV 2015 is further evidence of how far Endemol Beyond has come since launching
globally 18 months ago as well as how much the market for content originating from the digital video
space has developed,” said Georg Ramme, Managing Director, Endemol Beyond International.

“With a diverse line up of formats that can be adapted in any market and a strong slate of finished
programming, all of which can play on either traditional or online platforms, we are taking further
steps to mirror the success of our established TV business.”

Endemol Beyond is a Premium Content Network (PCN) with content available across more than 20 platforms including YouTube, Yahoo, AOL, Roku, TiVo, DailyMotion and Amazon Fire TV. Endemol Beyond
currently has 500 million monthly views.
