Viasat TV To Go carries live TV

March 31, 2015 09.46 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Viasat to goViasat Sweden has launched Viasat TV To Go, the first opportunity for subscribers to view Live TV channels directly on a tablet.

A select group will be able to use the service over the next few weeks and provide feedback about the customer experience. The service will then be rolled out across the customer base.

“Now we can offer our Viasat customers even more flexibility when they want to watch high-class entertainment, where and when it suits them best. Being able to watch TV channels outside the home is something we know that customers want. For us, the user experience has been central when we designed Viasat TV To Go, and we are very pleased and proud of how simple and easy the service is to use, says Jonas Karlen, CEO of Viasat.

Initially a total of 35 channels will be available and customers will have access to a selection that mirrors their regular TV package.

It’s planned that versions of Viasat TV To Go will later be added for smart phones and the Web.
