The BBC is to rebrand its connected Red Button service as Red Button+.
Launched on the Virgin TiVo platform in December 2012, it has subsequently been made available on a small range of internet connected TV sets, from Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic, Sharp and Toshiba. It can also been seen on services from EE and YouView.
The new name will be introduced from next month.
In addition to sections covering BBC News, Weather and Sport, dedicated sections have been introduced for Glastonbury or Wimbledon. In part picking up on content dropped from the number of available streams on terrestrial and satellite platforms.
