Although there are as yet no plans to launch the new service HBO Now in Poland, HBO GO is likely to become even more widely available.
Quoted by Wirtualne Media, Aleksander Kutela, the president of HBO Polska and VP of HBO Europe, said that HBO and HBO GO as part of an internet package, are already provided by a number of operators including Netia, Vectra, Multimedia and Toya.
HBO is pleased with HBO GO’s performance in Poland and aims to widen its cooperation with cable, satellite and telecom operators, growing the number of partners it has in the country.
Inea was the first Polish operator in introduce HBO GO, adding the service to its offer in December 2010, and now looks set to be the next one to make it available as part of an internet package.
It remains to be seen if UPC Polska will do likewise, while Cyfrowy Polsat has ruled out doing so for the foreseeable future.
