Canal+ is boosting its offer in sub-Saharan Africa with the launch of 25 new channels and Africa’s first multiscreen on demand service.
It’s also launching a new brand Bouquets Y.
Subscribers will have access to myCANAL, which will allow them to watch live channels and on demand content from up to 11 channels, on computer, tablet or smart phone.
Three of the channels have been specially developed for the new line-up, which will number close to 200 channels.
Edan is an urban entertainment channel, Gulli Africa will target the region’s youth, while Novelas TV as the title suggests will be dedicated to telenovelas.
Also in the line-up are France 3, Histoire, Game One, Playboy TV, English Club TV and Business 24 Africa.
Canal launched premium channel A+ late last year.
