Magyar Telekom remains the leading provider of fixed broadband services in Hungary, claiming a market share of 35.8% as of this January.
Data published by the regulator NMHH shows that it was followed by UPC and Digi, with 21.8% and 14.2% respectively.
The other leading providers were Invitel (9.5%), Tarr (2.6%), PR-Telekom (2%), ViDaNet (2.9%), GTS-Hungary (0.6%) and Parisat (0.5%).
As of the end of January, the total number of cable broadband subscriptions stood at 1,036,165, of which over half (584,532) were via DOCSIS 3.0.
The number of broadband subscriptions via FTTx was 396,720, while the xDSL total was 782,484.
