Austrian public broadcaster ORF wants to set up a video-on-demand (VOD) service for classical music lovers.
The internationally accessible, fee-based service will be technically based on ORF’s recently re-launched VOD service Flimmit, writes Austrian newspaper Der Standard.
Negotiations are underway for example with the Vienna State Opera and the Salzburg Festival, according to the report.
ORF is also said to be in contact with Jan Mojto’s company Unitel which owns the largest classical music video library.
