Russia’s leading DTH platform Tricolor TV has begun what it terms a “revolutionary renewal” of its basic package.
It will see the content in the package increased by over 40%.
Quoting market research, Tricolor TV says that film content is most in demand by Russian viewers, with around 72% of viewers expressing a desire to see more quality movies.
The platform has responded to this by increasing the number of movie channels in the basic channel to over 40.
These include the proprietary services KinoPremium HD, Family HD, Action HD and Our HD.
Viewers can also watch the Tricolor channel 12 screens, as well as Amedia Hit, a channel dedicated to series.
The price of Tricolor TV’s basic package will remain unchanged at R1,200 (€17.2) a year.
