Cableway, a subsidiary of Finnish technology company Teleste, has signed a three year framework agreement including a one year extension option with Kabel Deutschland for upgrading and maintenance services of the latter’s cable network.
The agreement ensures the continuation of its existing service business with Germany’s largest cable operator, according to Teleste. The estimated value of the contract amounts to between €50 million and €60 million per year.
The agreement builds on Cableway’s traditional field service expertise and expands it further towards sales activities by Cableway field technicians. A successful pilot of these sales activities was conducted in 2014.
According to Cableway, the new agreement ensures the company’s position as the leading German cable network services provider.
