The Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN has secured a satellite licence from the country’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) for a new thematic channel.
Wirtualne Media reports that it will be known as TVN Fabula and offer viewers serial from TVN, along with movies.
Quoting TVN spokesperson Emilia Ordon, it adds that although preparations for the channel are under way, there is still no launch date.
Ordon also confirmed plans by TVN to launch two further channels, known as TVN Sportive and TVN Activ.
TVN, which is currently in the process of being sold, already operates a number of thematic channels. It also has a stake in the DTH platform nc+.
