Samuel Gähwiler to head joiz Global

Samuel Gähwiler (joiz)Swiss multimedia marketing solutions provider joiz Global has appointed Samuel Gähwiler to the newly created role of managing director.

Additionally, Itai Aaronsohn has been named head of product. The announcement was made by Alexander Mazzara, co-founder and CEO of joiz Group.

With its cloud-based proprietary technology, joiz Global delivers community marketing solutions for enterprises worldwide. The platform unites TV, online and mobile services to increase and enhance consumer interactions which result in comprehensive behavioral data. Founded in 2010, joiz also operates two interactive youth TV channels in Switzerland and Germany.

In his new position of managing director, Gähwiler will oversee, implement and develop the company’s creative and commercial strategy, working with clients and joiz developers to produce marketing solutions utilising the technology. Reporting to Mazzara and based in Zürich, Gähwiler will be responsible for the range of creative and technological applications of the joiz platform, empowering business partners to enhance their products and services and monetise their audiences in new ways. Managing the company’s finances and leading the management team, he will also oversee day-to-day operations.

Itai Aaronsohn (joiz)Reporting to Gähwiler in his new role as head of product, Itai Aaronsohn will be responsible for developing new online and mobile platform projects and managing the integration, deployment and delivery of joiz Global’s technology solutions for the company’s commercial partners. Overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects, Aaronsohn will collaborate with clients to ensure the successful creation and delivery of technology and data solutions, implementing interactive, e-commerce and gamification capabilities. Additionally, he will design and provide requisite training.

“These key appointments come at an exciting time for the company with the recent announcement that M. DuMont Schauberg has licensed the joiz technology to enhance its big data strategy and develop Köln.tv into Germany’s first interactive regional TV network,” Mazzara said in Zurich. “Samuel and Itai are experienced executives with both strategic and creative business credentials. Their combined expertise, experience and vision will be central to the continued success and expansion of joiz Global.”

Prior to joining joiz Global, Gähwiler was controller of digital operations at Swiss media group Tamedia where he developed the company’s internet TV, classifieds, e-commerce and transactional business models.

Aaronsohn joins joiz Global from the media agency Kumma where he was head of business development, building and expanding the direct publisher and video ad networks divisions.
