The buyer of a controlling stake in the Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN could be known later this month.
Furthermore, reports Wirtualne Media, quoting TVN’s finance director John Driscoll, the company is like to run up an additional bill of between PLN10 million (€2.4 million) and PLN15 million related to the sale process.
This is in addition to the PLN5 million it spent in Q4 last year.
Interest in acquiring the 51% stake in TVN from its current owners ITI Group and Canal+ has been strong.
In December last year, Markus Tellenbach, the head of TVN, revealed that it had been approached by no fewer than 10-12 companies.
The frontrunners are currently believed to be Time Warner, Discovery Communications and the Bauer group.
