Nina TV, France’s first telenovela channel, is set to launch on the AB Sat platform on Saturday, February 14.
The new channel said it will concentrate on Brazilian and African telenovellas with an exclusive access deal to all productions from Brazilian Broadcaster Globo TV as well as soap operas from a number of African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Angola, South Africa, and Ivory Coast.
All series will be broadcast in a firm grid with emphasis on six themes: passion, revenge, action, teen, worship and African.
The new channel will be available on the AB Sat DTH platform, while negotiations are going on with other platforms. The channel is a product of AV rights company Côte Ouest Audiovisuel.
