The French radio broadcaster Europe 1 will launch a TV channel later this year, according to Denis Olivennes, the station’s head.
However, quoted by Le Parisien, he refused to provide any further details about the service.
Europe 1 was launched exactly 60 years ago, at the height of the Cold War and the war in Algeria.
Initially known as Europe nº 1, it has been owned by Lagardere since 1986.
According to Olivennes, Europe 1 has in recent years embraced the internet and become more interactive.
