Ukraine’s leading cable operator Volia has invested over UAH310 million (€17.3 million) in innovation, modernisation of its networks and quality of service in the last year.
Quoted in a non-financial report produced by the company, covering the period from January 2014 to January 2015, its CEO Gyorgy Zembery said that this was despite the turbulent events in the country, including the annexation of Crimea, fighting in the east, worsening economic situation and high inflation.
He added that Volia had learned how to manage its business efficiently and purposely, offering new products and services, career advancement to employees and supporting social products in local communities.
In a separate development, local reports say Ukraine is to have two public TV channels.
The first will be a flagship, dynamic service and second focused on cultural, educational and children’s programming.
