Sundance Channel Global has announced a number of film acquisitions from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
The five newly acquired films will premiere exclusively on Sundance Channel Global, shortly after the festival this year. The film titles include Chorus, Chlorine, The Amina Profile, The Strongest Man, and Christmas, Again. Bruce Tuchman, president of AMC Global and Sundance Channel Global, made the announcement from Park City, Utah.
Tuchman commented, “Sundance Channel Global has experienced landmark growth over the last few years. Our international footprint has grown exponentially and we believe this is intrinsically connected to our outstanding line-up of first-window original programming, resulting in increased demand from operators and viewers alike. The Sundance Film Festival is the ultimate purveyor of high quality top independent films and we are incredibly excited to share these five new exclusive films with worldwide audiences.”
The line-up of independent films acquired at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival will premiere on Sundance Channel this spring. Chlorine, Christmas, Again and The Strongest Man have been acquired for all international territories where Sundance Channel is seen. Chorus has been acquired for Asia, Eastern Europe, Dutch Benelux, Iberia, Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa.
