The Czech Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting (RRTV) has fined TV CZ, the operator of Active TV, a total of CZK900,000 (€32,200) for misleading business practices.
Each of the three fines of CZK300,000 it has imposed relates to teleshopping blocks broadcast by the channel.
TV CZ has 30 days to pay the fines.
It also has to pay the RRTV administrative fees totaling CZK3,000.
In another decision, the regulator has fined CET 21, the licence holder of TV Nova, the Czech Republic’s leading broadcaster, CZK100,000 for exceeding the permitted airtime for advertising and teleshopping.
