January 22, 2015 10.13 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Köln TV Multiscreenjoiz Global, a Swiss provider of community marketing solutions, has signed its first German licensing agreement with M. DuMont Schauberg, one of the country’s leading media companies.

The deal will enable M. DuMont Schauberg to enhance its big data strategy by licensing the joiz Global community marketing solution for Köln.tv, its recently launched local TV channel for Cologne and surroundings.

The cloud-based solution which unites TV, online and mobile services will enable Köln.tv to build a community that allows its viewers to interact with shows and presenters.

M DuMont SchaubergThe digital offerings of M. DuMont Schauberg’s newspapers Express and Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger have also been incorporated into the collaboration. Cross-platform content will be shown first on express.de and ksta.de alongside koelntv.com before being seen on the TV channel, highlighting the importance of digital media to the overall strategy.

The users can create a profile online that enables them to offer opinions, encourage debate and propose stories. With access to live group and one-to-one chats, they can also interact with presenters and share content with others in the community.

joiz Global“Our solution triggers deeper viewer engagement and data collection which transforms viewers into users, users into consumers and consumers into loyal customers,” said Alexander Mazzara, co-founder and CEO of joiz Group. “The joiz technology framework can easily be integrated into existing broadcasting and radio infrastructures making it the ultimate social TV software in the market.”

Zurich-based joiz Group also operates two interactive youth entertainment TV channels in Switzerland and Germany.
