VIMN has expanded its MTV youth and music portfolio in Israel after its existing 24-hour Hebrew-language service split into two separate youth-oriented TV channels: MTV and MTV Music.
Launched exclusively on cable platform HOT, MTV will focus on serving viewers with high quality general entertainment content including drama, documentary, game shows and more, while MTV Music will deliver international and local music videos and long-form music content such as live concerts, award shows, festival events, and successful local production – MTV Master – an interactive music video quiz in which the viewers express their expertise in music using a mobile app.
Ananey Communications, a multi-channel content provider and distribution company in Israel, has represented Viacom’s brands – MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central – in the market for the past two decades.
In support of the move, MTV is to introduce a number of key long-form programmes, including teen comedy drama Faking It, documentary series Generation Cryo and reality game show, Are You the One?, along with new seasons of hit shows Awkward, Catfish, and I Used To Be Fat.
